Adventure Park

Behind the Elkhorn Lodge is a 40-acre mountainside adjacent to Old Man Mountain that is perfect for outdoor activities such as skiing, mountain biking, horseback riding and zip lines. Currently used for horseback riding and hiking into the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Elkhorn Project plans to make this land even more accessible for outdoor adventure activities.

The focus of this area will be a winter ski resort, offering downhill skiing, ski lessons, tubing runs and a year round alpine coaster. Summer activities include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and zip lines. Ski lessons, the alpine coaster and the tubing runs will also be available in the summer months.

These activities are expected to contribute to winter tourism in Estes Park, driving increased hotel occupancy and sales at restaurants and shops in town, which also drive job opportunities.
